April Showers...and Mud, Sleet and Snow!

Well, here it is April and I still haven't ridden much at all. Weather continues to range from cold and wet to cold and muddy with few breaks. However, the last two days it's been kind enough to SNOW some more. This is truly bull....well, you know ;)
That said, I did sneak in the first baths of the year for my girls last weekend when the weather tipped the high 60s and sunny for several hours :) Below, Be gets power washed in the front yard.

With the mud all over the sacrifice area, the girls have been spending a good bit of time out in the solitary paddock. Fortunately they get along well enough for this. And look, there's even some grass out there! Well, when its not snowing that is.

Be had her 9th birthday on March 24th. The horses celebrated with mints, apples...

And of course Peeps.

Giving Be a hug for her birthday.
...and lots of scritches...

...and of course letting her wear a birthday hat. I think its her.

The two racing thoroughbreds shipped into the track a couple weeks ago, so Be and Ree are home alone and enjoying the solitude.

And that's pretty much all the month between posts has brought! I guess Be's on a hiatus of sorts until Mother Nature turns off the waterworks and warms this place up. I've my fingers crossed for this to happen soon!
