We've got a whole lot of raspberries going on with the horses lately. I have no idea what it means, but it's cute. On the left is our new racing filly, Everlea. She's a 4 yr old by Whiskey Wisdom. She's a big filly, and kissing cousins to Be (both have Wild Again as their grandsire). Be and she seem to be getting along pretty well.

Temperatures have dropped an awful lot this week. Be models her seldom-used heavyweight winter blanket while keeping warm by stuffing her face at the roundbale feeder.
Marie and Chewie join Be for a snowy meal at the salad bar while I clean stalls

Mom, aren't you done yet?

At least Marie is enjoying the snow
Since we got dumped on by snow yesterday (Monday), it was too hazardous to trailer over for a lesson. We're postponing it until our normal night of Thursday. The horses spent rotating time outside in the cold weather, but were in the barn for most of the day. I pulled out the santa hats and played dress up with a few of them.
I can always count on Be to give me a good photo

Somebody hears the candy cane wrapper. Tis that season too :)
Sea Pleasure might wear the hat, but he'll tell you how he really feels about it too.

Everlea wears the hat with good graces. Hopefully this is an indication of how she is always to handle :)
And last but never least, Tyke and I squeeze in for a red hat photo. Hmm, Tyke does drive... I wonder if he'd like to pull a small sled around the back field?
