Fall is Here!

Fall is here with the nice cool riding temperatures. Of course this doesn't mean I've gotten a lot of riding in though. More like I've hung around with the horses, but only ridden about once a week. :( However, what a lovely bunch they are :)

I'm still making the weekly jumping lesson though, and they seem to be coming along well. We're inside the arena now, so more groundwork and equitation comes along with the jumping. I'm looking forward to honing these skills over the winter. Be is just happy with getting to jump in the light again. I have video, but video uploading to Blogger isn't working right for me for some reason. I will have to look into it.

Wheee!

And the horses are feeling good too. Very good actually.

Nothing specific in the near future planned for riding, but hopefully we'll hit the trails this weekend or next. The days are simply getting too short. I sold one of my race retired fillies last weekend to a lady who is head over heels in love with her out on the east coast of Canada. We should be down to just three horses this winter, so kind of a break. My husband is getting into sheep raising though so we'll see how time consuming they are. They sure are cute though, and Be actually doesn't care about them. They've run into her stall and her eyes just go wide but the survive the experiance. Whew!

Congrats on the jumping lessons! I remember when you could barely canter Be. I'm glad your beautiful red head is progressing nicely for you!
